“Pool of the Sky Collection”
The “Pool of the Sky Collection” is an exceptional artwork that beautifully fuses two major eras of Iranian art history: the Safavid and Qajar periods. Its design draws inspiration from the forms and intricate details of the Ali Qapu Palace in Isfahan, a symbol of architectural grandeur from centuries past. The carpet’s background features repeating, orderly tile-like motifs inspired by the architectural elements of Ali Qapu.
At the center lies a circular medallion, carefully set apart from the background. Within this medallion, white and grey tiles are arranged with artistic precision, overlaid with Gol-o-Morgh (flower and bird) motifs characteristic of Qajar art.
